Benchmark Foods and spices Limited (RC: 1267846) was incorporated on the 17th of June,2015 but commenced operation on the 1st of June,2016 as a family company and it’s a spin-off of Benchmark Sciences Limited (RC654354). Unlike the later which was geared toward solving the Chemical raw materials needs of manufacturing Companies, it’s to make a positive difference in the food sub-sector of the economy with special emphasis on the Agric-value chain, baking ingredients production and spices processing.
Since 2016, Benchmark foods and spices limited has been creating and re-creating products to meet customers needs and expectations, hence the slogan ‘’…now, bakers can smile! This slogan is very instructive because, having interacted extensively with dealers and bakers, we have consistently tried to satisfy the market without falling short of regulatory requirements and it is only a satisfied customer that can smile.
Our products are fully registered by the National agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC); and our manufacturing premises is fully certified by other agencies of Government. We receive regular visits from the Lagos state ministry of health, Lagos state ministry of the environment and the Lagos state fire service.

Our story actually began in 2005 on No.8, Hassan street, Ilasamaja -Lagos state chemical market corridor. It was here that our experiences were horned on the heel of laboratory (quality control) exposure as an Analyst at Alfa Laboratories Limited, Lagos. This lofty idea came about, after the founder, MR. ERNEST IBE UDE, a trained chemist, spent 15 years of industry experience that span the laboratory (quality control), marketing of industrial and pharmaceutical raw materials and finally manufacturing. He epitomizes a multiplicity of an individual whose class and exposure has resulted in the most stunning business journey that has inspired and continue to inspire a whole horde of people in and out of its core area of operation.
